Hold on to your seats as Riyadh gears up for an electrifying transformation! Prime Minister Muhammed bin Salman has announced an incredible plan to construct 80 entertainment locations in the brand-new Murabba district.
World’s Largest Downtown Area
But that’s not all! As part of the Crown Prince’s Vision 2030, Riyadh is set to witness the development of the world’s largest downtown area, promising a futuristic landscape that will rival any other metropolis on the planet.
This cube-shaped structure will be managed by the new Murabba development company and is expected to add SAR180bn to the country’s non-oil GDP by 2030, creating 334,000 direct and indirect jobs.
Spread Across 25 million Square Meters of Floor Area
Seriously, though, with over 25 million square meters of floor area, including more than 104,000 residential units, 9,000 hotel rooms, and almost a million square meters of retail space, this thing is going to be huge! And that’s not even taking into account the 1.4 million square meters of office space, 620,000 square meters of leisure assets, and 1.8 million square meters of community facilities!
The Mukaab will be the centrepiece of the surrounding New Murabba project, which is set to expand the footprint of the capital and house an estimated 350,000 residents over 4,695 acres. Rising to an awe-inspiring height of 1,312 feet, this mega-structure will provide a perfect blend of residences, hotels, office space, and open-air parks and walkways.
But it’s not just the sheer size of The Mukaab that sets it apart – it’s the immersive, futuristic experiences that it promises to offer. Indoors, holographic projections, such as giant-sized people, will create a truly unique and unforgettable atmosphere. The Saudi government will spare no expense towards the development of this mega-structure.
