The fourth edition of PSL is nearing and the draft is almost around. Today PCB revealed the team retentions of players that will be taking part in the fourth season from previous season.
Surprisingly, Shahid Afridi has not been retained by Karachi Kings and is now available in the draft. It means that any team will be able to pick him under the platinum section of the draft. The first pick will be from Lahore Qalandars as usual.
Another interesting thing about the retention is the absence of Multan Sultans franchise from the team retentions table. Instead of Multan Sultans, the team name is currently set at ‘Sixth Team’.
Apparently, the team is currently being managed by PCB until a new owner for the team is found. The previous owners of Multan Sultans failed to make payments to the board and hence they were abandoned.
New owners of the sixth team will decide the name of the team as soon as the franchise is bought.
