Fakhr-e-Alam, one of Pakistan’s most renowned actor and singer-songwriter had many heads turning when he announced that he was going to embark on a journey across the globe in just 28 days.
That journey kickstarted today and Fakhr-e-Alam introduced his airplane as well as informed his followers about the details of the journey.
The famed singer/songwriter took to Twitter to announce the following:
My childhood dream is about to take flight in less then 12 hrs. I dedicate this to my beloved country & to the people of Pakistan. #MissionParwaaz is the flight of self belief, on the wings of faith and the winds of hope. Pray for me as I carry Pakistan’s flag around the world [sic]
He also uploaded a couple of videos revealing information on the plane and journey.
Fakhr-e-Alam’s Plane details
Alam introduced his plane to Pakistanis about 12 hours ago. Here is what he had to say about his partner.
Meet my partner for the next few weeks. PILATUS PC 12 N9854Z, single engine turbo prop. Swiss made. This is the bird that will fly around the world for Mission Parwaaz . Servicebceiling 26000 feet, cruise upto 300 knots, range over 1800 nautical miles. It’s a great airplane.
What is Mission Parwaaz
Mission Parwaaz is a childhood dream and passion project of Fakhr-e-Alam. The singer-songwriter received his private pilot license in October 2015 from Florida and since then has been preparing for this 28-day journey across the world.
To be able to make the flight happen, Alam had to work day and night. He faced a lot of problems on the way due to several issues which included sponsors backing out, insurance problems, insufficient funds and more. But he has finally garnered enough support to make this project happen.

The official route of Mission Parwaaz
Alam will take off from the clear Water Florida on the 6th of October at 7 AM local time. From there on he will fly towards Boston, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, England, Croatia, Egypt, Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Dhaka, Singapore, Australia, Japan, and Russia, and more before heading back to clear water.
- The entire trip is expected to take him 28 days to complete. This will depend a lot on weather conditions.
- In order to set his record, Alam must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 26,000 nautical miles flown through all medians
- Only one plane will be used
- The pilot is not allowed to change plane under no circumstances
- The pilot must start and end the journey at the same airport.
The purpose behind the mission
According to Alam, there is currently a shortage of pilots around the world. With this journey, the singer wants young Pakistanis to join the profession because he believes Pakistan is full of talented people. He wants to encourage the youth of the country to dream big and follow those dreams.
Alam also wants Pakistan to be recognized around the world. If he completes this journey, Pakistan’s name will enter into books of aviation throughout the world.
Finally, he wants to present a positive image of Pakistan and prove to the world that Pakistanis are brave and peace loving.
