In a bid to promote Pakistani films on Eid festivals, the Ministry of Information, Broadcasting, National History and Literary Heritage banned the screening of Bollywood films during Eid Holidays right before Eid-ul-Fitr.
The ban on Bollywood continued throughout Eid-Ul-Adha making an opening for Pakistan films to make their mark.
A total of three Pakistani films were released on this bakra Eid.
Let’s see how much each of the three films, ‘Load Wedding’, ‘Parwaz Hai Junoon’, and ‘Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2’ made during Eid.
Load Wedding
Load Wedding is directed by Nabeel Qureshi and starrs Fahad Mustafa, and Mehwish Hayat in lead roles. The film was released on 22nd August 2018 and was produced by Geo Films with distribution rights given to Zee Studios.
With an estimated budget of RS. 6 crore, here is how the film fared in the box office:

Parwaaz Hai Junoon
Parwaaz Hai Junoon is directed by Haseeb Hassan and starrs Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Shaz Khan, Kubra Khan, and Hania Amir in lead roles. The film was released on 22nd August 2018 and was produced by Hum Films.
With an estimated budget of Rs. 10 crores, here is how the film performed at the box office:

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 is directed by Nadeem Baig and starrs Humayun Saeed, Fahad Mustafa, Vasay Chaudhry, Ahmad Ali Butt, Kubra Khan in leading roles. The film was released on 22nd August 2018 and was produced by ARY films. Its distribution rights were handed to B4U Motion Pictures.
With an estimated budget of RS. 8.5 crores, here is how the film performed at the box office.

Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 broke quite a few records with its release. These include:
- Biggest opening in Pakistan ever
- The biggest international opening of any Pakistani film ever
- Fastest Pakistani film to cross RS. 10 crores
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2 is expected to break earning records of its predecessor and quite possibly also become the highest grossing film of Pakistan.
To become the highest grossing film of Pakistan, JPNA 2 has to beat ‘Punjab Nahi Jaungi’ collection of RS. 51.65 crores.
Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 1 made a total of RS. 49.44 crores worldwide and is the second highest grossing film of Pakistan.
