Coke Studio is coming back for its 11th season next month and this time there are many surprises in store for longtime followers of the show.

The official Facebook page of Coke Studio recently released a rendition of the famous Pakistani song ‘Hum Dekhenge’ which also revealed the performing artists of this season.

The 50+ artists immediately captured the interest of Pakistanis and created a lot of excitement for season release date.

One thing that really created a lot of confusion amongst people was the inclusion of Ahad Raza Mir in the artist lineup.

Ahad Raza Mir is currently very popular in Pakistan for his amazing performances in television dramas, but people have never heard him singing.

The producers of Coke Studio season 11, Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi have finally revealed why they brought Ahad into this season.

Speaking to veryfilmi, the producers saw Ahad Raza Mir singing a little and playing guitar on his Instagram. When the two saw the short video, they immediately thought that Ahad had something in him.

Hamza and Kazi met Ahad and asked him to be part of Coke Studio 11. But before his selection, Ahad insisted that he should be heard. He then rehearsed a song and a proper audition took place.

Upon listening to his song, Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi were convinced that Ahad could easily become part of Coke Studio season 11, hence they added him in the lineup.

It will be very interesting to see Ahad Raza Mir sing a song for the first time on television.

Coke Studio season 11 begins on August 10th
