Coke Studio is coming back for its 11th season next month and this time there are many surprises in store for longtime followers of the show.
An exclusive photo acquired by Pakmanzil revealed that the popular American-Pakistani Sister EDM Duo Krewella will be making their debut in Coke Studio.
According to reports, Krewella will be performing one song in the show with local musicians. The song is reportedly of the electronic and alternative genre.
The photo acquired shows the sister duo was in Karachi in April 2018 posing for a picture on the sets of Coke Studio.
They were later spotted at the Jinnah International Airport as the duo was on its way back to the United States with their group.
Krewella was supposed to tour Pakistan last year but their tour was canceled citing family reasons.
Why is this such a huge deal?
Krewella performing in Pakistan is a big deal because the American-Pakistani sister duo is one of the most popular Electronic Dance Music groups in the U.S.
The group is equally loved around the world for their unique music.
The group has produced more than 20 singles, one of which hit the top spot on the U.S Dance Charts. The group has performed in many EDM festivals including Tomorrowland.
The duo’s performance at the Ultra Music Festival, Electric Daisy Carnival and more earned them international Dance Music Award for ‘Best Breakthrough Artist’. They have also been declared a duo ‘that will be huge’ by Billboard.

What to expect from Coke Studio 11
This year’s Coke Studio will be an exciting one as the executive producers of the show have been changed. This year Ali Hamza and Zohaib Kazi have taken reigns of the show from Strings and are set to show a different side of the show.
The two executive producers have reportedly collaborated with various music producers from all over the international music industry as well as the local industry.
Coke Studio has already launched a pre-season show ‘Coke Studio Explorer’ where the producers can be seen traveling across Pakistan discovering music stories from far and outreaches of Pakistan.
