The 7th of December 2016 became one of the darkest and tragic days for all Pakistanis across the world when the news of a plane carrying Junaid Jamshed crashed suddenly appeared on our TV screens.
Junaid Jamshed was on a Tablighi Jamaat mission in Chitral with his second wife Nayha Junaid. Both were abroad the PIA Flight 661 when it crashed near Havelian on the way back to Islamabad, killing everyone onboard.
The Pakistani icon had a special place in our hearts and has left a void ever since he departed this world. To honor his legacy and pay a tribute, a beautiful mosque named after him was inaugurated today in Karachi.
The Junaid Jamshed mosque is located at singer chowrangi at J dot unit 2. It combines modern architecture with the Islamic culture making it an extremely beautiful sight to see.
The mosque serves as a remembrance to Junaid Jamshed who used to regularly visit mosques around the country to perform naats and give inspiring speeches to young and old Muslims alike.
His work and contribution to Pakistan will never be forgotten.
