Young Pakistan Army cadet Shehroz Shahid has just won an international award from Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst. The award is given for highest merit and best performance overall in education, training, and physical fitness displayed during the training period.
Shehroz began his training at the Royal Military Academy almost two years ago after graduating from Pakistan military. Shehroz joined PAK army with a strong desire to work for his country.
During his training at RMA, the only thing mattered to him was Pakistan’s name being announced at an international stage. With his passing out and receiving the award, one of his dreams has come true.
The award was handed down to Shehroz by General Sir Nicholas Patrick Carter, Chief of General Staff for the British Army.
Shehroz will now be returning to Pakistan to continue his dream of serving his country in the military.

The Royal Military Academy is one of the several military academies across the UK. The academy serves as an initial officer training center with an aim to be the national center of excellence for leadership.
All British Army officers and men and women from other countries are trained at the Academy. At the end of each commissioning course, awards are granted to outstanding cadets.
This year the Overseas award was given to Shehroz which is equivalent to the Queen’s Medal. It is given to an overseas officer who achieves best overall results in military, academic and practical studies.
