This 11 year old boy from Quetta will shock you with his drumming skills

Pakistan never ceases to amaze when it comes to young raw talent. Whether its sports, studies, or music, we have got some of the best-hidden talents in the world. But due to lack of emerging talent platforms, much of these people remain hidden.

This is a story about Shear Yashub Imdad, an 11-year-old boy from Quetta who has a natural talent for playing drums. Belonging to a small Christian family in Quetta, Shear learned to play drums when he was just four years old.

Shear got his passion from his eldest brother who is also a musician and part of a band. Inspired by his brother’s music, Shear became passionate about joining him on stage at a very early age.

His brother Asnapher Imdad Chaudhary recalls that when Shear didn’t have a drumset, he used to tap his feet to create melodious sounds. Soon he started drumming on anything he could get his hands on.

His immense interest in drums convinced his parents to finally buy him a drums kit which Shear now regularly practices on. In the last two years, the boy has improved so much that he can now pull off the double paddling technique which is considered one of the toughest techniques in drumming.

At such a young age, Shear has already started playing with his brother in concerts and gigs and continues to hone his skills in hopes of becoming a well-known drummer in Pakistan.
