The current captain of the Indian cricket team and star Batsman Virat Kohli have finally tied the knot with his long-standing Bollywood actress girlfriend Anushka Sharma.
The two got together at a closely knit ceremony in Italy and gave their vows through a traditional Indian marriage. The ceremony was held in Borgo Finocchieto resort near Tuscany with close family members.
The couple also announced their marriage on Twitter after a series of rumors that hit the social media a month ago that the two were preparing to get married in December.
Speaking to their fans on Twitter, Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli published the same status on their respective profiles, saying:
Today we have promised each other to be bound in love for ever. We are truly blessed to share the news with you.This beautiful day will be made more special with the love and support of our family of fans & well wishers. Thank you for being such an important part of our journey.
According to several reports, the marriage dates were finalized when the two were in Siri Lanka in August this year. The families of the two met and discussed the dates during this time and finalized the wedding dates.

The wedding reception of the two will be held on Thursday, 21st December 2017 at the Durbar Hall, Taj Diplomatic Enclave, New Delhi at 8:30. The invitation card has already been sent to notable names of India.
