Introducing Multan Sultans, the sixth franchise of PSL

The sixth franchise of the exciting Pakistan Super League ‘Multan Sultans’ has just launched their official logo and kit for the upcoming third season of PSL.

The kit and logo were revealed to the world during a ceremony held in Karachi on Friday. Many guests including cricketing greats were present to see what the franchise was going to reveal.

Apart from launching their logo and official team kit for PSL season 3, the franchise also made a couple of announcements.


Wasim Akram appointed as Director of Cricket

During the launch ceremony of the kit and logo, it was also revealed that Wasim Akram will become the Director of Cricket for Multan Sultans. Moreover, Australian star Tom Moody was also named the head coach of the team.

Previously Wasim Akram served as the Director of Cricket for PSL Franchise ‘Islamabad United’. The team became the first ever champions of PSL.

Tom Moody, on the other hand, is bringing a lot of experience with him in T20 cricket. He has coached Sri Lanka previously and led them to the final of 2007 cricket world cup.

Speaking at the occasion, Wasim Akram said that the logo of the team symbolizes power and shows the determination to lead the way.

Pakistan Super League’s third season is expected to return in the first quarter of 2018. The draft pick will begin in the coming few months.
