On the occasion of 70th independence day of Pakistan, the International Pakistan Prestige Awards were announced. The first event took place yesterday at the London Hilton Hotel, Park Lane.
As many as 50 stars including nominees, guests, presenters, winners, performers and members of the board were flown to London for the occasion.
The IPPA was held to acknowledge the Pakistani film, tv, music, sports and fashion industry. Many names from each industry were present at the awards ceremony.
During the ceremony, as many as 3 dance performances were held with others including a fashion show, singing performance, and stand-up comedy segments.
Actor In Law bagged 5 awards
IPPA handed over as many as 25 awards last night of which 5 went straight to the team of last year’s hit film ‘Actor In Law’ which starred Fahad Mustafa and Mehwish Hayat in leading roles and as well as the late Om Puri in supporting role.
Here are the following awards the film won
- Best Actor – Fahad Mustafa
- Best Film Director – Nabeel Qureshi
- Best Actress – Mehwish Hayat
- Best Film – Actor in Law
- Best Supporting Actor – Om Puri

The International Pakistan Prestige Awards will be broadcasted by HUM TV in the coming few weeks. No official broadcasting date has been revealed yet.

The International Pakistan Prestige Awards have been launched internationally to create a new legacy of entertainment that recognizes the Pakistani showbiz industry.
This was the first edition of the awards held in London. It honored celebrities compromising of Music, Fashion, Sports, TV, and film. The awards were held internationally because the idea is to bring popular names of the country out and put them at the forefront of the global audience.
