The upcoming animated feature film ‘The Breadwinner’ recently released a teaser trailer showcasing the plot and characters of the film.
The Breadwinner is a story about a young Afghan girl living in a time where the Taliban rule. In order to fit in the environment, Parvana, the leading character chops off her hair to look like a boy. Her only family support, her father has been imprisoned by the Taliban forcing her to make a living for her remaining family.
For Pakistani’s, this film will be somewhat special because it features the voice of our very own Ali Kazmi. He will be doing voice over for multiple characters in the film.
Upon being asked about his experienced, Ali Kazma calls it amazing. He said that voiceover work isn’t very different from actual acting except that he didn’t have to dress up for the occasion.
Ali Kazmi has featured in numerous TV serials for popular Pakistani networks like ARY, Hum and Geo.
The Breadwinner animated film is being produced by Angelina Jolie which makes the project even more special. It is slated to hit the theaters in Fall.
