Ride-hailing services are becoming extremely popular around the world and Pakistan.
In 2016, more than 3 ride-hailing services entered Pakistan to introduce their services.
Amongst the top three ride-hailing or taxi services includes Careem, Uber, and Limofied.
Now Google is partnering with these ride-hailing services to bring their exclusive services natively to Google Maps.
For you, it means that you will no longer need to open dedicated Uber application to order a ride.
Simply open Google maps on your iOS or Android drive, select pick up point and drop point and Google will show you the available service.
You’ll now see an additional tab which will show you if taxi services are available in that area. From there on, you can tap on the new tab and order a taxi.
Furthermore, you can connect with the taxi driver, track him or share your location easily through the Google maps app.
Google has also revealed that it will soon upgrade their maps application to allow you to book tables at restaurants or even ask for a midnight delivery from a take away right from inside the app.
This move will make Google Maps your one-stop destination for all your needs. The ride-hailing update has already been implemented in Pakistan. Try it out and let us know your experience.
