If you’ve ever wondered what Titanic looked from the inside and out, your wishes are about to come true.
The construction of a life-size replica of Titanic costing £116million has begun in China.
The construction began with a ceremony complete with fireworks. It is being constructed in the southwestern Sichuan province of China.
Keel of Titanic is the first step in construction
When the replica plans were first announced, it sparked a controversy because the design included a simulation of Titanic being hit to the iceberg which led the ship to sink back in April 15,1912. Around 1,500 people’s lives were lost in the incident.

The project is being designed by Hollywood designer and producer Curtis Schnell.

Schnell is best known for his work as a production designer on movies like Crossing Jordan, Death Warrant, Silver spoons and Ed.
Here you will be able to have food in the Titanic. The menu will be the same as served in 1912’s voyage of the ship
Schnell aims to get as close as possible to the original design. He may not be able to produce every room on the ship accurately, but he has ensured that everything will be kept historically accurate.
The aim is to make sure everything is accurately made
The Replica Titanic is a resort in itself. It will also have a man-made beach with a 6D movie theater.
