K-Electric has always been painted in a bad light through the media.
From being lethargic in installing TOU meters to not paying heed to protest of citizens, the organization has been under fire from everywhere.
Continuous articles, blogs and personal opinion about the organization have led the people to believe that it is an embodiment of corruption and all things bad.
But if you look past all the negativity, K-Electric has been doing things that restore faith in humanity.
For example, KE has actively collaborated with Pakistan Animal Welfare Society (Paws) and Edhi Animal Shelter to help animals in trouble and need.
Today we are going to share a story of their efforts that we believe will help you hate them a little less.
On 12th of March 2016, someone on Facebook posted about a cat being stuck in a well.
Saad Awais wrote that a cat was stuck in a well about 80-100 ft deep and it had been a year since she’s been stuck there.
The well was in Kathor, 40 KM away from Karachi. The people in the locality kept feeding the cat to make sure she lives.
They had tried everything to rescue it but they couldn’t do anything.
This appeal was heard by PAWS
PAWS then boosted the appeal and asked for volunteers to help.
And guess who came to the rescue finally? K-Electric.
Here’s How KE Helped Rescue The Cat

Moral of the story? Let’s not keep judging based on opinions from big media houses that are always keen on painting a bad image.
Good humans are found everywhere, even in K-Electric and this story is proof enough.
